When do you plant garlic in Spain?
The first thing you should know is that even though we speak of “planting”, when it comes to garlic there is no seed, you use the garlic cloves themselves. To plant garlic we have to know which type of garlic we are dealing with. There are two main varieties: white and purple.
White garlic is planted throughout October and November and is harvested in June. This type of garlic doent’s resist winter as well as purple.
Purpler garlic is planted in Marc and is harvested in July. This type of garlic resists winter better than white garlic.
